RELATED FAQ

Q: How long can I wear a tampon?

A: When using tampons, it's important to choose the lowest absorbency necessary for your menstrual flow. And because the amount of flow varies from day to day, it's likely that you will need to use different absorbencies on different days of your period. Selecting the right absorbency comes with experience, but as a guide, if a tampon absorbs as much as it can and has to be changed before 4 hours, then you may want to try a higher absorbency. On the other hand, if you remove a tampon and after 4-8 hours white fiber is still showing, you should choose a lower absorbency.

Horrible. And scary.

I don't usually go with the compact tampons because I personally don't care who knows I have my period and my purse is big enough for the regular sized ones. However, the plastic pearls I usually use were sold out, so I just grabbed these and thought they would be a good substitute. WRONG. The applicator is flimsy. So flimsy in fact, that it broke while I was inserting. Twice. The first time, I was terrified because I pulled out the applicator and the clear, plastic portion was missing. I didn't know if it had gone inside of me with the tampon itself, but I was pretty scared for a few moments until I took a look inside of the toilet and saw it in there. Good to know I didn't have plastic where I should not have plastic. The second time it broke, it broke with the tampon halfway out of the applicator. This product is just garbage. I will never use these ever again and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Frustrated

I have been a Tampax user for more years than I would like to say. Recently my Shoppers stopped carrying the cardboard applicator I quickly grabbed the next type of Tampax, the compact. I tried no less than five times at the office to insert with no avail. I ended up with a wad of toilet paper where my trusty cardboard Tampax used to be. To give it a fair chance I brought it home where I could take the proper time to figure out what I had done wrong. Another four tampax compacts later I am going to bed defeated with a wad of toilet paper. Fourty years I have used this product and today I am dejected. Goodby Tampax...
